On our last day of out missions trip, we all went out to a rural village called Namungo. Our first stop in the village was at a building and some land that has been purchased for the women in Namungo to open a sewing business. Thank You to the generous contributors for the land and the sewing machines, the women of Namungo are so grateful. Then we went to the church to meet up with Pastor Elijah and his congregation. Michele had two very moving messages for the people of the village. Her most powerful message was from Proverbs 30. She challenged everyone that we need to be people who store the word of God in our hearts, but also share the word with others. While Michele was preaching, Faith, Traci, and Kyle were making bracelets, singing songs of praise, and playing some games with the children. Then the whole team worked together to distribute bibles, pair eye glasses to adults, and we fitted children with shorts and dresses. The people of the village then served up an incredible lunch for the team, the pastors, and the leaders of the church. After our two hour ride back to Kampala, we had our last dinner with the Pastor Dongo, Florence, and the Pastors from the Kawempe Church we visited a few days prior.
